Have you heard about it? I am following a lot of influencers on social media, and Sardine fast been coming up on my feed very often lately. So let's see what is all about.


Sardine fast or Sardine challenge is recommended for 72 hours. And as you can guess it is basically to eat sardines in oil for this period of time.


The goal is to boost ketones and lower blood glucose. Apparently it works very well for insulin resistant, weight loss, can help with inflammation as well and easier to reach autophagy.


Once you start eating sardines, from that moment you have to eat that for 72 hours. You can eat as much as you like and whenever you want. On this diet drinks are limited to water, black coffee or tea.


Sardines are one of the lowest in mercury, with a very low risk of mercury toxicity. They are very high in omega-3 fatty acid, they contain protein, vitamin E and D, and many other minerals.


Not just that, but for men it may help prevention and management of erectile dysfunction.

Eating sardines will also put you in the better mood, thanks to it's good fats. They can boost brain health and cognition, increase blood flow, can lower the levels of fat in the liver as well.
