If you just started the ketogenic diet or had cheat day(s) and getting back on track you may notice in a day or two, headache, dizziness, foggy brain or feeling very tired and nauseous.
Congratulations! You have keto flu.
It depends on your body whether you will get keto flu or not at all. It may take you longer to get there as well.
It's not a bad thing, it might be just frustrating first. This is the proof, that you doing keto right and you most likely hit the state of ketosis, so your body start burning fat for energy instead of glucose.
Note: You don't have to be always in ketosis to loose weight.
Keto flu might last for a day, maybe up to a week, but no longer than a month.
What can you do about keto flu?
Drink electrolytes!
There are many electrolytes keto approved. My favorites are Perfect keto, Redmond Relyte and Energized Reds by Perfomnce Gainz.
Electrolytes are also essential on the ketogenic diet, so you should drink it daily.
You can also have a "quick fix" consuming pickle juice and/or bone broth.
Get plenty sleep!
Eat enough fat!
